Every August Poppi opens its cellars to the public for 3 days to celebrate wine.
Wine producers from all parts of Tuscany offer samplings of their wine in the old cellars of the town. These are set deep under the buildings skirting the main road and at other times are often invisible to the eyes of visitors.
In the Poppi square, women offer plates of the tasty local cuisine.
