Place & History
Poppi is a charming Medieval village located in the Valley of Casentino, in Tuscany. It is a rare example of “walled town”, with the Castle of Conti Guidi at its centre, which dominates the entire valley. The view from the village is breath-taking, with landscapes on the Arno River, on the surrounding mountains and on the tiny lovely villages of the valley, each with its own unique charm.
Poppi can be easily reached from important cities, such as Florence, Arezzo and Siena.
Thanks to its many interesting and well-preserved buildings, Poppi has been awarded the title of one of “The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy”.
